ROCAN has established this Privacy Policy to explain how it protects and manages the personal information that it collects from you (the customer) online.

Consent for Collection, Use and Disclosure:
Rocan International, Inc. remains committed to the protection of your information. We never sell, lease or rent any information that we collect. This notice describes ROCAN’s privacy policy. By viewing and/or using any of the websites owned, operated and/or maintained by Rocan International, Inc., including this one, you constitute your consent to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any of the content contained herein, please do not view or use any of ROCAN’s websites.

ROCAN may occasionally update this Privacy Policy. When it does, ROCAN will also revise the “last updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy. In addition, ROCAN will seek a customer’s prior consent, by email, for any new uses or proposed disclosures of information collected from the customer prior to the change. ROCAN will notify customers by email of changes to this policy that will affect information collected from them in the future. In certain circumstances, however, ROCAN will not inform and obtain the consent of the customer, such as in connection with an investigation of a breach of an agreement, contravention of laws, an emergency where the life, health or security of an individual is threatened, the collection of a debt or in compliance with the request of a law enforcement agency or a court order.

A customer may withdraw his or her consent for collection, use and disclosure at any time by sending an email to unsubscribe@goosedownduvets.com. When you unsubscribe, if you fall within the guarantee period for any ROCAN product and you request a refund, the guarantee will still be honoured.

In order to provide our customers with an expected level of customer service Rocan International, Inc. may collect a variety of information in the following categories.

Purposes for Collecting Personal Information:
ROCAN collects and uses personal information for the following Identified Purposes:

a) to understand customer needs regarding ROCAN’s products and services;

b) to better develop and better provide our web site and our products and services for the benefit of our customers;

c) to better fulfill your requests for products, services or information;

d) to better communicate with customers and site visitors, when necessary, and to inform customers of new products, upgrades, warranty information, as well as any other products and services that may be available from ROCAN and its affiliates and third parties;

Personal Information:
ROCAN limits its collection of personal information to only that information which is necessary for the Identified Purposes. ROCAN does not direct its sites to, nor does it knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of eighteen.

We receive and store any information you enter on our Web site or give us in any other way. This may includes information such as first name, last name, sex, contact information including billing address, shipping addresses, e-mail address, telephone and fax numbers.

Statistical Information:
We receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with us. This includes broad demographic information that when combined with site usage data, enables us to better facilitate the needs of our customers. Statistics include; number of visitors to the site, browsers used, operating systems used, and time spent on site. Web server logs and cookies are two of the technologies used to collect this information. This type of information does not contain any personal information that can identify a specific user.

Email addresses are kept for the purpose of responding to your inquiries and/or for periodic e-mail newsletters and promotional e-mails to our customers and visitors about products offered by ROCAN. Individuals may have their information removed by e-mailing unsubscribe@goosedownduvets.com. We never sell, rent or lease our email addresses or customer lists.

For reasons such as improving personalization of our service (for example, providing better product recommendations or special offers that we think will interest you), we might receive information about you from other sources and add it to our account information. We also sometimes receive updated delivery and address information from our shippers or other sources so that we can correct our records and deliver your next purchase or communication more easily.

Cookies are numbers and letters that are transferred to your computer's hard drive through your Web browser to enable our systems to recognize your browser at subsequent logins.

When you visit a ROCAN web site, a cookie may be placed on your computer or the cookie may be read if you have visited the ROCAN site previously. ROCAN uses cookies to allow ROCAN to determine which products and services you have already purchased so that ROCAN does not provide redundant information to you, and, if you are a ROCAN affiliate, to track ROCAN sales made to customers referred by you so that you can receive compensation under our affiliate program. Credit Card Information:
ROCAN’s preferred method of payment receipt is through PayPal. ROCAN also accepts payment with VISA, MasterCard and American Express credit cards. ROCAN utilizes Secure Socket Layers (SSL) to encrypt all of the information you provide before sending it to our server. Data in transit remains encrypted until it reaches our server where it is decrypted. ROCAN utilizes Thawte Secure Site Certificates for the most comprehensive security coverage.

Your account information:
Information required to open an account helps to pre-define certain criteria such as billing address, shipping preferences, and payment methods. Customer access to accounts is controlled by security Login ID and Password. This is to prevent unauthorized access, improper use or disclosure, unauthorized modification and unlawful destruction or accidental loss.

Disclosure, Processing and Retention:
As ROCAN continues to develop it’s business, we or our affiliates may sell or buy other businesses or entities, or we may merge with another company. In the event that ROCAN or substantially all of its assets are acquired, your personal information may be one of the transferred assets.

Your information may be stored and processed in the United States, or in any other country in which ROCAN or its affiliates, subsidiaries or agents maintain facilities. By using this web site, you consent to any such transfer of information outside of your country.

After your account becomes inactive (that is, if you request to be removed from our database), ROCAN will keep your personal information in its archives. Your information will then be used only as necessary for tax reasons or to prove ROCAN’s compliance with any applicable law.

Accuracy of Personal Information:
ROCAN will use reasonable efforts to keep customer personal information accurate for the Identified Purposes, and for minimizing the possibility of making inappropriate customer decisions based on such information. ROCAN will use new or updated personal information it receives from customers to update its own records.

Security Safeguards:
ROCAN will use reasonable efforts to protect customers’ personal information.

If ROCAN is not able to provide access to some aspect of a customer’s personal information, it will provide reasons for denying access such as; that by doing so would likely reveal personal information about a third party, or that it is confidential commercial information or attorney–client privileged communications, or that the information relates to a breach of an agreement or a contravention of law, or that its disclosure could reasonably be expected to threaten the life or security of another individual.

Customers have the right to request that inaccurate or incomplete information be amended as appropriate, by contacting ROCAN as described above. ROCAN will promptly correct such personal information.
